What can I say? Wilco. The Newport Folk Festival. Setting sun, rising moon over a historic fort, Jeff Tweedy’s voice bouncing off the waters of Narragansett Bay (echo, echo!). The wall of sound—monstrous—engulfing the crowd in the salty, hazy breeze. “Christ for President” as opener and the rest is history!

A perfect way to kick off what we at Sisters Dissonance believe in our country is the music festival with the largest heart and warmest soul.
